Looking down at the
Heljarkambur Ridge and Mornisheithi plateau from Brattafonn. The ridge was very
exposed and guarded only by a wobbly chain handrail. Not for the faint
hearted!
Clear weather during the
ascent reveals crevasses on the Eyjafjallajokull ice cap.
The lake near the crest of
the pass. The melting ice cap provided me with my first source of fresh water
for several miles.
The
mighty Skogafoss waterfall at the coastal settlement
of Skogar. The end of the trek!
